About Me
Jasmine has been deeply engaged with the Bellingham community for over 11 years. She grew up in the small town of Morgan Hill, California where she advocated for the revitalization of the town's skate park in City Council meetings. Following her interests in Environmental Compliance & Pollution Prevention at De Anza College in Cupertino, California, she moved to Bellingham in 2010. As an admirer of the vast PNW parks and trails, she served on the Greenways Advisory Committee where she learned the importance of sustainable land use policies and practices. While raising a family, she stumbled into Western Washington University's Urban Planning & Sustainable Development program and discovered her passion for meaningful community engagement, geographic information science and data analysis. Today, she is a mother of two humans, two axolotls, Two dogs, and she works as an Associate Planner for Jones Engineers, Inc. in Bellingham, Washington.
